Almost everybody! Exhibitors wearing green stickers are actively hiring staff. Exhibitors wearing blue stickers are looking for interns. Stay tuned for a list of 2019 exhibitors.
Students & Teachers FAQ
Vermont Tech Jam has always been a great event for anyone who’s curious about tech. In particular, high school and college students can benefit from:
- Talking to companies about what they look for when hiring new staff and researching internship opportunities;
- Investigating education opportunities among the exhibitors representing colleges and tech training programs;
- Attending programming about building a future tech career or starting their own tech businesses; or
- Checking out the cool new tech that local jammers are demoing in the Emerging Tech Showcase.
We strongly suggest that you set up your booth on Wednesday, October 16, 3-5 p.m. Alternatively, you are welcome to set up directly before the Jam on Thursday morning 8-10 a.m. All exhibitor booths must be ready to rock by 10 a.m. when the Jam opens.
We realize you’ll be bringing valuable equipment to the Jam. We will have 24-hour security for the building starting on Wednesday at 3 p.m. through the conclusion of the Jam.
Furniture: Each exhibitor will have access to an area that is roughly 10 feet by 10 feet, (unless you made arrangements for a larger booth) with an 8-foot table that is about 30 inches wide, draped with a tablecloth. You’ll also have two chairs. You don’t have to use the table, chairs or tablecloth if you don’t want them; it’s up to you how you want to use your space.
Electricity: All booths include access to electricity within 10 feet of your booth space, but please bring your own power strip and extension cords for the most flexibility.
Internet: Exhibitors will have free access to a password-protected wifi network with robust bandwidth.
Sorry, only Tech Jam sponsors will be able to choose their booth locations in advance.
Given the size of this event and the complexities of exhibitor needs, all other booth locations will be assigned by our staff one week prior to the event. On the Wednesday before the Jam, an expo floor map (subject to change) will be published in the Tech Jam Guide and on this website.
